Activities

During the event, multiple activities and special exhibits will round off the experience. Expect there to be music, an official prize giving, a tea & coffee stand, small 1:64 diecast shop and more! [Stay tuned]

When and where is the event?

The event is on Saturday, the 8th of May. It's the ascension-weekend, allowing participants from further away to join. The event location can be found on the map above: Hofstrasse 93, 8620 Wetzikon, Switzerland

How can I attend?

As an owner of an "R"-Volvo, please register by filling out one of the Google-forms in English, German or French. As a visitor, you can attend the event without registration. 

Which cars are eligible?

For the 100-car display, the following models are eligible:

  • 1995-96 Volvo 850 T5R
  • 1996-97 Volvo 850R
  • 1998 Volvo S70R
  • 1998-00 Volvo V70R
  • 2003-07 Volvo S60R
  • 2003-07 Volvo V70R

If you have doubts about the eligibility, don't hesitate to reach out. 

Do I have to register to attend?

Spontaneous guests are always welcome, however to help facilitate planning we are very grateful if you register early on. 

Does participating cost anything?

Yes, a small fee of around CHF 15 - 20 or Euro 20 will be due per car for event participants in order to cover costs for the event location, insurance and event permit.

I plan on coming from outside of Switzerland, is there a toll of some kind?

Yes, in Switzerland a toll sticker is mandatory on all highways. It costs 40 Swiss francs and is valid for a whole year. It can be bought online here or at border crossings. You can also reach the event destination without using highways, follow the blue signs signalizing main roads. 

Is there official accomodation?

No, however tipps for campsites and budget friendly accomodations in the region will be provided. 

Will there be a catering?

Yes, food and beverages can be purchased on site. More detailed information will be provided at a later stage. 

Are there toilets on site?

Yes, toilets are accessible on site. 

Can I bring my kids and dog?

Yes, you may. However kids must be accompanied by adults and dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

Is there visitor parking?

A designated area for visitor parking is planned. 

Can I reach the site by public transportation?

Yes, Wetzikon train station is located around 15min walking distance from the event site. Wetzikon can be reached from Switzerlands largest train station, Zurich HB, 4x per hour. The train ride from there takes roughly 20min. 

Is the event site wheel chair accessible?

Yes, the event-site is wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately however, there are no wheelchair-accesible toilets on site. 

Event rules

In order to ensure a safe and enjoyable time for everyone, here are the most important rules during the event:

1. Walking speed is mandatory at all times throughout event grounds.

2. Burnouts, donuts, drifting, etc., are not permitted on the event grounds or in the immediate vicinity. 

3. Vehicles on display must be safe and in good working order. Local laws apply. 

4. Participants may be excluded from the event at any time if they do not immediately comply with the organizer’s instructions.

5. The consumption of alcohol and drugs on the event grounds during the event is prohibited.

6. Trash must be disposed of only in the designated containers.

7. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

8. Dogs are allowed but must remain on a leash at all times.
